Firenze is the capital of the region of Tuscany. Centrally located in Italy, Tuscany borders Emilia-Romagna to the north, Liguria to the north-west, the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west, Umbria and Le Marche to the east. The region is mainly hilly, only about 10% being flat. The River Arno runs through the city of Firenze.
Sprachcaffe Scuola Toscana The school is located in an historical building in the centre of Florence, practicallyin Piazza Santa Croce.
Firenze is famous for fashion and great for shopping. The city is home to the legendary Italian fashion maker Salvatore Ferragamo. Gucci, Prada and Roberto Cavalli also have large stores in Firenze. One can also find many antique and leather shops in the city. The open-air markets, such as the Mercato di San Lorenzo, situated in the centre, are very popular with tourists.
The most bohemian area of the city is the Oltrarno, south of the river. Other nightlife attractions are concentrated around Piazza della Signoria. Florentines, like most Italians, are very stylish with a smart, conservative dresscode when going out. Entry to clubs is expensive at around 12 EUR, although tickets usually include a free drink at the bar.
Public ATAF Bus: Tickets need to be bought before getting onto the bus at local tobacconists (“tabacchi”), in bars or at ATAF offices. The ticket has to be stamped when one gets onto the bus, otherwise it will be considered invalid. One ticket is valid for 70 minutes and costs 1,20 EUR. A day ticket (valid 24 hours) costs 5 EUR, da three-days ticket is 12 EUR, a seven-days ticket 18 EUR, and a monthly ticket costs 35 EUR.
I really love everything, teachers, other students, places visited and everything else. I really like food, it's not too complicated since it's Italian food.
