"It was very interesting and enriching experience except for the place I was hosted in"

Gloria Esther Cortez, student from Argentina

The school is very good, the location is just very close to the tube station and the facilities are great, my experience was very good meeting people from other places who has different accents. The teachers manage their classes in a dynamic way, very nice. I didn't like Drapery Place, were I stayed because the people from there didn't have any control about the cleaning of the share areas, the kitchen was always dirty, I couldn't used it and when I complained nobody gave me a solution, I was there only for a week, so it wasn't so much time. But the rest was ok, very useful for me!

"Good location, good teachers"

Wolfram Bürger, student from Germany

The first week I took part in a class with maybe 10 people. There were three afternoon classes and two morning classes. One of the teachers what a bit boring. A few classmates had difficulty speaking fluently. It was easy to change the class in my second week. My experience than was quiet better. Adam and Tussif where both very good teachers.

"I felt at home and definitely should have stayed a bit longer as times passed by so fast:-)"

Petra Thaler, student from Switzerland

Hi together!

Overall I was impressed by the school itself, which is perfectly situated since close to train/bus station and in a secure area. The facilities and equipment of EC English Language School Euston House are of modern standard in each room enabling an easy and relaxed teaching up-to-date.

As I stayed just for a week, I did not take part at activities. Thus, I am not in a position to give comments on this subject.

There is a very welcoming warm atmosphere in the entire school and always support given by the staff if need be. The breakfast coffee club can be highly recommended!

In classes we had much fun, all my teachers were very friendly, always in a good mood and qualified, they did a very good job! Especially my one-to-one lessons were pretty helpful matching my expectations in means of business English that I wanted to refresh. However, I'd better been recommended to book and attend a "business work class" instead of a "general English class", but that is part of my language agent I was told.

There was one further subject that was quite awkward: as I had ticked a wrong bottom for the right level to start the online placement test beforehand, I unfortunately was classified in an absolutely low-level class and could not redo the latter before starting my week :( I felt deeply under-challenged and this meant a loss of two precious days in a week of five days! Even at school the online access to my account constantly was out of order and we simply did not know why.

The whole staff was so nice but that is the IT world and it was pretty stressful. Finally on Tuesday night by chance I could do the test again and was regrouped to the advanced class as of Wednesday :-) Hence, I could benefit from the right class only 3 of 5 days booked and already did the exit test on the fourth day of the week...

Housing in the student's residence of Chapter Kings Cross was very pleasant and I was so happy that I could arrange that on my own after it was said there'd be no more free room left during my stay.

I learned a lot in that short time that I stayed in London - personally and professionally - and left with an overall unforgettable amazing impression. Thanks to the nice staff! I will definitely recommend Euston House :-)

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from EC London 30+. Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.

If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged £ 75 when you register.
