Our Business Leadership Programme is tailored for aspirational students aiming to hone their language skills in a business context. We provide invaluable insights through seasoned business managers and entrepreneurs, alongside practical exposure to local businesses.
With iGCSE-level Business Studies classes, motivational business talks, participation in our Bell Business Challenge and business-themed study tours, this course is sure to inspire any budding entrepreneurs.
Bell Business Challenge
Working in teams, students will work towards the completion of a business plan for a new product or service which they will present to a panel of judges who will choose the business they would most likely invest in. The winning team will receive an inspirational prize.
The two-week course encompasses:
• 40.5 hours of lessons
• 3 days of study tours
• 18 hours of lectures
Language learning outcomes:
• Students will learn key business vocabulary.
• Students will develop their grammar and pronunciation skills.
• Practice speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in a collaborative fast-paced atmosphere.
Business Studies learning outcomes:
• Students will learn how to write a business plan.
• Students will learn how to bring product to market.
• Students will develop their financial management skills.
Life and leadership learning outcomes:
• Students will learn valuable communication and teamwork skills for life in the workplace.
• Students will learn negotiation strategies and techniques used by the most effective leaders and managers.
• Students will develop their presentation skills and confidence in public speaking by delivering a sales pitch as part of the Bell Business Challenge.
Prospective students should possess a minimum B1 level of English. Upon completing the registration form, we will issue an online Oxford test to confirm their proficiency.

Established in 1875, The Leys School is one of the most prestigious private schools in Cambridge. Located in the heart of the city, close to the Fitzwilliam Museum and several of the University of Cambridge colleges, the school has extensive grounds with contemporary residential accommodation, outstanding sports facilities and a modern teaching block.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged £ 35 when you register.
