International House Brisbane - ALS
The Certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is a government accredited course that is designed for people to get into English language teaching. Go on to teach English in your country, abroad or even in Australia.
The course is very intensive, and requires you to do a lot of work outside of class as well as in, as you prepare lessons and complete assignments. It places a high emphasis on getting you ready for the classroom, with lots of practical hints and tips.

At the end of a Certificate IV TESOL course, you will:
Be confident in your own abilities in English, and know how to monitor and improve yourself
Be able to plan and deliver effective lessons in English, to a range of groups on a wide range of subjects and skills
Have taught for a minimum of 6 hours, and observed another 14 hours of classes
We also arrange for you to work-shadow a Queensland teacher to experience life in Queensland Government School.

ALS does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
Our school is located in the heart of Brisbane, close enough for students to be able to access all of the food courts and services that Brisbane CBD has.
The location of the school I chose is really convenient, 5 mins walk to bus station and train station. Although the class itself is not exciting as I am doing preparation of ielts, teacher has tried a funny way to make the class less boring and show us a lot of skill for the test
