Course description

40+ English Courses are special English language programs designed for people over 40. They offer you the chance to learn English in an overseas location, with other mature students. The course will help you to boost your communication, reading and writing skills and build your confidence when in English-speaking countries.

A light course load of 15 hours of tuition and three organized social events a week means you’ll get a good balance of lessons and sightseeing, and get the chance to mingle with other mature students of different nationalities. The course runs for two weeks only as it is a package of English lessons together in the morning, and an included social programme relevant to their age group and together as a group on our minibus.

Accommodation options are diverse and can be adapted to suit individual needs.

"Excellent"

Dirk De Raeymaecker, student from Netherlands

My highest appreciation goes to the teaching. And that's why I chose to go to England during my holiday. The atmosphere in the school was prima. The staff was gentle an helpful.
I personally enjoyed the local museum with an excellent exhibition about Agatha Christie. If someone could send me the text on the main panels of the exposition, I would appreciate that very much.( if necessary , I'll pay for it )Good for the enrichment of my English and ,in addition to that,as a psychiatrist I am interested in the curriculum vitae of important people, especially their childhood. In that same museum I bought an interesting booklet on Charles Darwin. Both are local celebrities.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from Kaplan International. Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.

If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged £ 40 when you register.
