EUREKA is a school whose main purpose is teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Our faculty is formed by qualified teachers certified in subjects such as Classical Spanish, Spanish Language, and Art and Literature. All our teachers have been carefully chosen by the school's academic board and trained to use our exclusive method in order to ensure the greatest success of our students.
Our method is based on the direct contact between teacher and student, and the creation of a relaxed atmosphere so that learning comes naturally, and thus it is reinforced through practice and communication. This is possible thanks to the fact that there is a maximum of 8 students per class.
The school is open all year-round, closing only on national holidays, (January 1st and 7th, March 18th, 28th and 29th, May 1st, 2nd and 15th, August 15th, November 1st, December 6th, and 25th). If a student attends for only two weeks, these holidays are compensated with extra class hours.
Courses for students with some knowledge of Spanish may begin any Monday. We offer specific dates for beginners to start (always first and third Monday of every month).
All students with prior knowledge of Spanish must take an oral and written test in order to be placed at the appropriate level.
Another test is offered at the completion of each course to qualify the student for a certificate based on his/her level of achievement.

EUREKA is located in a 150-year-old building with several floors, which have been refurbished and renovated by the school. It is between La Puerta del Sol and The Royal Palace in Madrid.
Located nearby are the city’s major museums (El Museo del Prado, El Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, El Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza), landmarks (El Palacio Real, El Parlamento, El Teatro Real, La Plaza Mayor), convents (Las Descalzas Reales and La Encarnación), and monuments (La Fuente de la Cibeles, La Puerta de Alcalá).
Madrid - the business, government, cultural and entertainment centre of Spain - is a modern and cosmopolitan city, hospitable to all visitors, regardless of nationality and occupation.
Madrid boasts the most prestigious museums in the country (among them El Museo del Prado, El Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, and El Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza) and the greatest number of theatres and clubs, including El Teatro Real, El Teatro Español and El Teatro de la Zarzuela, Joy Eslava and Pacha. Many of the most important Spanish historic monuments are also found in Madrid, such as El Palacio Real, El Parlamento, and El Congreso, not to mention La Biblioteca Nacional which contains more than 25,000 volumes.
All the central government institutions are located in this capital city, as well as the leading political institutions and main Spanish economic and financial centres. The major world banks and national and global companies also have headquarters in Madrid.
I did a week long intensive course at B1/2 level. The grammar teaching was excellent . The vocab lessons in groups good. The session of only 3 of us in the afternoon worked less well as we were all at different levels of knowledge. I think a private lesson in the afternoon maybe walking around Madrid with a teacher would have worked better for me.
I enjoyed meeting a widely different set of people and the teaching was good.
I enjoyed my experience at Eureka School of Spanish Language very much. I found the teachers to be very talented and competent. The entire staff was very friendly and most accommodating and responsive to my needs. It was a most worthwhile experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning in an accepting, positive and professional environment.

Firstly, the courses were given in a relaxed, familiar environment but seriously enough learn a lot of vocabulary and grammar. Above all, I have to mention the extraordinary flexibility of the school. All teachers are very responsive. You can extend you're staying as you like. I really recommend a summer "shot" of the Spanish language!

I felt comfortable enough to ask questions and participate in the conversation which helped me to improve my Spanish. I also thought the pace that we went at; because it's an 3evening class and I work full time I appreciated the slower pace because I don't have a lot of time for independent study.

He was proactively offering abundant information about the language school. The brief and clear explanation was exactly what I needed. I definitely will recommend my friends who are interested in studying Spanish in Spain.

They were patient and encouraging. The location and facilities were great; close to the metro. I did not take part in the outside activities.

I was living in the same building as the school, which made everything so easy for me. The room and the bathroom were so clean and so nice. I liked the classes so much, especially the conversation classes. I’m sure I will be back soon. :)

Show details » Read more...I spent 5 months in Eureka. During this time, I mastered the Spanish language to the level of proficiency (I had a crash course) thanks to a well-constructed system of education (the first 2 hours of grammar with a fixed teacher and remaining time - communication in Spanish with the change of teacher 2 times a week) and the professionalism of teachers who really put their hearts into their work. There was not one of them I did not like having lessons with. Also, the school regularly organizes events: guided tours (free and paid), joint dinners celebrating the holidays together with students and teachers, and others which created a very warm and comfortable learning atmosphere. In addition, Eureka is located in the most beautiful part of Madrid, and has a transport message.
I would like to say a special thanks to the school: its director Angel and Txiki, who treated me always with attention, did not leave any requests without an answer, and did not leave any questions without advice, which was important for a foreigner who did not know all the nuances of living in Spain. I also want to thank teachers Patricia, Eva, Javier Andres, Nadhu, Pilar, Juan Ramon and Carlos.
Gracias a vosotros hablo español!
The classes, teachers, location, facilities and housing were all very good.
Show details » Read more...I only studied for a week, but it was very productive. I really liked the process of learning. Classes were divided in two parts - grammar and speaking practice - and every day we had a new teacher "to chat" with, though grammar was explained by one teacher who knew what we already saw and what we might have problems with. Teachers are very professional and friendly.
The accommodation was also very nice. They offered me a room in the same building where the school was, and it was very nice to spend a break in your room with a hot cup of tea.
I also liked the program of after class activities: walking tours in the city and a trip to El Escorial on weekends.
I really liked the teaching method, which I haven't seen anywhere else. Basically, you get a fixed teacher for grammar and you get a rotation of professors for the conversation. I think this is a great method, not only because you get to know everybody in the school, but also because you hear different accents, way of talking, way of teaching, and it never gets boring.
The teachers themselves are all very passionate and are trying their best to improve your Spanish skills. They include every student and have a connection with the class. You can see they don't do it just because it's their job, but because they truly enjoy it.
The location is perfect, in the city center and close to many attractions and eateries.
The activities are all well-thought and very interesting for somebody who wants to get to know Madrid, its history, art, architecture and culture. I recommend every student to take part of it. The explanations are always very clear and interesting.
I didn't take part in the housing program, but during my stay I lived in two houses I found on Airbnb. They were all a walking distance from the school, which was a good thing.
Overall I loved the experience I would recommend for sure to study at Eureka if planning a stay in Madrid.
Everything is very professional, but at the same time fun and heartfelt.
I have been learning Spanish for a number of years and I rate this school highly. I love going there. Like many of their regulars, my repeat visits say it all. The staff are great, the classes never too big, and the location couldn't be more convenient. This time, I rented a flat. I'll do it again. There are many other extras such as guided tours in Spanish to El Prado Toledo and et., and daily an optional visit to a typical neighbourhood restaurant which is good value and involves more immersive Spanish chat at no extra charge. Madrid itself is a fantastic city and the locals speak a pure castellano. I'll be back.

Each time, they've treated me like family. Why wouldn't I want to keep coming back? I've studied with them at the intermediate and advanced levels. All instruction has been superb. The language instructors are qualified and enthusiastic about the material. I highly recommend Eureka!

My classes were great, and so were my teachers. I had group classes and I also has personal classes. I've moved to higher level classes quickly as I was improving my Spanish language.
The location was also great. I loved studying near Puerta del Sol. Everything was close to me so I didn't need to get taxis or the metro very often.
About the housing - I thank Angel who had provided me, in a short time, an apartment only a few meters from the school.
The school setting was convenient and had a comfortable atmosphere. The teachers were all very friendly, personable, and very helpful. I appreciated that we had several different teachers each day for the different classes so that we could learn from different styles, and with different accents. The diversity of students in the classroom was good too, in that in many cases, Spanish was the only common language, so the students are further encouraged to use their Spanish language skills in order to communicate with one another. The after-school activities offered were a great bonus - the instructors would take students to local museums or other cultural sites and gave a special informative tour. The lodging facilities and the family for the home stay were wonderful.
