Cambridge Immerse is a two-week residential academic programme with a diverse and enriching curriculum, designed for 16-18-year-old students – providing a taster of what it’s like to study a subject at the university level. Academic sessions are carefully designed and taught by expert tutors in an optimal learning environment that stimulates academic inquiry. And our carefully planned schedule ensures that the programme not only meets the academic needs of the participants but also provides a unique experience of the university city through an abundance of extracurricular activities.
Students reside in one of central Cambridge’s largest and most beautiful university colleges. Within the college’s historic walls, we pride ourselves on providing unique experiences of leadership and academic excellence through an inspirational programme for participants. With its diverse and enriching curriculum, the programme allows students to explore and further their knowledge of a chosen subject in an unrivaled academic environment. Cambridge Immerse is a Cambridge summer programme that takes place in Cambridge University’s most beautiful, centrally located colleges: Christ’s College, Queens’ College, St Catharine’s College, and Sidney Sussex College.
Students reside in these sanctuaries of peace in the middle of the historic university city of Cambridge, renowned for hosting many eminent academics over its centuries of existence.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
