I really liked the school, the teachers, and the facility for the school. I began the first day and started learning. I did not enjoy the housing. The housing was too far from the city center along with the roommates needing to be asked several times to remain clean. It was difficult as I was not able to use the kitchen or common spaces.
Show details » Read more...The flat was nice especially the location and the price is fair. The booking process could be better, but my assistant was very helpful and showed a lot of effort.
The workbook is very good and is in the price included. My teacher, Pablo, was very good at explaining and made the lessons fun.
It's difficult to discribe..first at all I had a lot of fun with the teachers and the other students. When I arrived at school they made a test (b1.. although I told them I already had a B2 level) . Later I talked with a teacher about my test then she told me she's teaching a class level b1-b2 which I can join. The size of the class was perfect. We were about 6-8 students(changed every week). But we had different language skills. Some of us had level b1 and others B2. So that was kind of problem for me because I wanted to improve my skills and didn't want to repeat everything I already know 4 weeks long. I think it would be better to put level b1 students together and B2 together and don't put b1-b2 together. Sometimes it was kind of boring for me. The school was ok. It was an old building with small classes and in summer it was very hot. But all in all it was ok.
But I have to separate the 4weeks.
The first 2 weeks, I would say, were good. Our teacher Barbara was a very good teacher. She was very well preparated and motivated. The classes were disversified. Barbara sometimes brought some games or other things to the class so that it was very active and we also had a lot of conversations. But I missed writing text's. But I think all in all she's a good teacher. It was very difficult to be able to satisfy the need of every student ('cause of different, very different language skills). But I was very optimistic and looking forward to the last 2 weeks but Barbara went on vacation so that we had another teacher for my last 2 weeks. She was a very outgoing and sympathic person and we although had fun. But she wasn't really prepared like Barbara. The last 2 weeks we did nothing. Just talking about Madrid and all the places and activities. It seemed that the teacher didn't want to teach us ..it was more like talking about our hobbies and favourite places in Madrid and that was kinda all we did in 2 weeks. Of course we repeated everything we did in week 1-2. She was about to start a new theme but 2 minutes later we talked about something that had nothing to do with this class. I was very angry and also disappointed that I didn't learn anything in week 3-4.
I thought, after the first 2 weeks, that I am going to improve my skills. But not at all. I have the same skills I had bevore.
I would take classes at this school against only if they separate the level of the students and with Barbara as a teacher.
I really want to reach level c1. But it's only possible if they change that things. Although I expected a bit more I think it was ok for the price I
If there are any questions..please ask in German again.
Un beso
I had an interesting experience. I met students from all over the world of different ages, younger and same age as me. The teacher was efficient and taught us the language very well.

However, I don't think it is appropriate to arrange me with students who have already studied for half year. They know a lot. The speed of lesson is very fast. I cannot understand anything when they are talking. There are also no outdoor activities in two weeks, and I don't like the dormitory at all. I would like to live with flat mates, but the awful thing is that there is no air conditioner. I cannot sleep well because Madrid is so hot in summer, and the school doesn't care about how you live. The first night when I got there, there is no quilt and the bed sheet is not clean. I think it’s also expensive.
