In 2007 the Azurlingua school was awarded the label "Qualité FLE"
It is one of the first schools in France to have been awarded the label for the quality of its teaching, its premises and services (administration, registration, accommodation...)
The quality label is a commitment from the French state, through the agency of the Ministries for Education, Research and Higher education, Foreign affairs (High office for international cooperation and development) and the general delegation for the French language to entrust the CIEP with the setting up of a regulating agency for the award of quality labels to centres for the teaching of French as a foreign language operating on French territory.
Such a move will, from now on, make it possible to identify, recognise and promote those schools able to provide courses and services that are up to their students' expectations.
The nationality and age mix at Azurlingua varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 25. In the summer, the average age is 25.
does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
Our language school is situated right in the heart of Nice, an approximate 15 minute walk from the seafront, the 'Old Nice' district, and the Promenade des Anglais.
The school premises are made of two buildings :
the main block is used for French classes and for the Campus Central residence. In the smaller block you will find the school's administration services.
The large central garden makes for a particularly congenial 'ensemble', a unique environment in Nice.
The school is located very central in Nice. I booked my own accommodation and it was very easy to find something in walking distance. After the school tested the my level everyone got into a course. Therefore you don't receive a schedule before the first day. I would have preferred to know my schedule in advance to be able to plan around. Nevertheless the organization was very good and the schedule easy to understand. The quality of the teaching was very good and my French skills definitely improved. It was a blessing that they had air conditioning, because it would have been impossible to focus with temperatures over 30 degrees.I didn't participate in the optional social activities, therefore I can give no feedback on that.

A bit weird being in a class with much younger students ( some not entirely motivated to learn I thought), but it would be hard to Find the opportunity to take daily lessons otherwise. Teachers and staff are extremely engaged and strive to make classes enjoyable as they are useful. Nice facilities in a decent central location.

The classes were good and easy to follow especially because i had a very patient and kind teacher. The location didn’t cause me a lot of trouble since the school bus would bring me from the center to the Ecalyptus school. Next the activities were very enjoyable, well planned and great fun. I stayed in a host family and the woman i stayed with was extremely nice and welcoming. What i liked the most about azurlinga was the fast connections one could make thanks to the fact that we all have wanting to learn better french in common. Sadly I didn’t like the cafeteria food a lot and the bathrooms in the school. Otherwise I would this experience helped me get out of my comfort zone and I will definitely recommend to my friends since it was a useful experience

The languange scholl was perfect too, my teacher was kind and helpfull. I learned many things almost I was there for two weeks. I am now braver if I speak in French. My classmate were very kind I made a lot of friendship from all of Europe.
Show details » Read more...I liked that the teacher was easy to understand, mixed new vocabulary into practice without it being confusing, and helped us with grammar without forcing boring repetition. On my last day, we went to the train station on order to practice coming up with and conducting man on the street interviews. That was a great lesson and practice of skills.

What could be improved is the recognition on the Internet of the school. I found the school by coincidence, and it was only after I paid a visit to the school that I paid my down payment. The pictures should be improved and the website should pop up sooner and be more customer centric.
For private lessons you could add a practice class. go with the teacher to the station, airport, hotel, bakery, restaurant, tourist center, etc. to practice your skills.
The teachers were all very kind and welcoming and also provided a good experience of learning better French. My housing was good however the food could have been better. The activities were fine but could have also been better.

Show details » Read more...When I was a child, I started to learn French in my school (in Kazakhstan). I started as a beginner, but I knew a lot of French words and grammar. Once my teacher proposed me to go to Nice with Azurlingua. I tried it. I was so surprised of my fast improving in French. That`s why I keep returning to this language school every year. This year i had a chance to be on "Campus central" (it`s Azurlingua for adults, so it was something new for me), and to be in a class with Nicolas, who i know since I was 13 (he is really funny and friendly with me) and Agnès. She is so interesting. Grâce à eux je parle bien français! I would like to add that in October I passed successfully DELF B2 because of DELF preparation courses with Aurelie who works there.
Everything was great: teachers, school ambiance, especially funny excursions with Eric. Even if I was far away of my family, Azurlingua helped me not to feel alone. I`m so happy to be here. I hope that I`ll come back to see everybody working in Azurlingua again! Because I love them so much
The lessons are well organized. During the lessons the teachers deal with variety of different topics and the grammar is in-depth. The students are well followed by the teachers because there is an average class size of 8 - 12 students.
The location is very accessible, the school is close to the station and not far from the center (place Masséna). Many activities are proposed by the animation office during the all week and weekend, to give the opportunity to all the students to visit the entire blue coast.
As regards housing, I very much enjoyed staying in the residence. It is located above the school and very comfortable.
The only problem is to share the kitchen with other students who have different habits than yours, and something it can be a reason for discussion.
For the rest I had a beautiful experience in Azurlingua, the stuff have been kind and always available to everyone.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying French in Nice. These homes are often between 1 - 25 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 16 - 100. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan.
