Course description

The aim of this program is to give people, who want to teach Spanish as a Second Language, the necessary tools to give an adecuate and coherent class following the principles established by the Common Language Reference Framework and the Cervantes Institutes.
This one-year program includes 8 modules of six weeks each in which students receive classes of methodology, didactics, pedagogy, Spanish vocabulary and syntax, pragmatics, among others. The program is bimodal; therefore, students have in-person classes and online classes. In- person classes are taught on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the facilities of the University of Iberoamerica (UNIBE). The modules include:
+Methodological approaches for teaching languages
+Pedagogical guidelines for teaching languages
+Teaching the grammatical competence
+Teaching the lexical competence
+Teaching the phonetic and phonological competence
+Teaching the sociological competence
+The communicative skills in the ELE classroom
+Assessing in the ELE classroom
+The professor's digital competence in an ELE classroom
+Teaching specific populations

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged $30 when you register.

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Tibas based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
