All of our teachers are native Spanish speakers, with a university degree, plus specific training in the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Our students, who come from all over the world, are taught in one of our 20 well-equipped, air-conditioned classrooms, with an average of just 7 students per class (maximum 10).
We are a Cervantes accredited school, as well as being members of FEDELE, with CSN and Bildungsurlaub registration.
As evidence of the quality of our teaching, our students obtain a 95% pass rate in the prestigious DELE Examinations.
Our school is ideally located right in the heart of Barcelona, just off Gran Via, less than 10 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya. The school is also situated just 100 meters from the Aerobus bus stop, providing direct and easy access to the airport.
In addition to the 20 classrooms, our school has an Internet cafe, a student lounge, sun terraces at the back of the school, as well as additional sun terraces on top of the school building. The school also has 9 well-equipped apartments, in the same building as our school, exclusively for our students.
Indeed, we are the only school which can GUARANTEE accommodation in the heart of Barcelona, less than 10 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya. This is because, unlike other schools in Barcelona, we have on-site accommodation, located directly above our school. There are 9 self-catering apartments, with 2 bathrooms per apartment, fully-equipped kitchen, lounge, air conditioning, balconies, free wireless Internet in every room, and extensive sun terraces.
Students who stay in our on-site accommodation can choose to be self-catering (cooking their own meals), or choose the ´Residence´ option, which means that they are provided with 2 meals per day in a friendly cafeteria, located just across the road from our school.
We also offer Standard Apartments and Standard Residence, but these are not located on-site and are not of as high a standard as our on-site Superior Apartments and on-site Superior Residence.
The nationality and age mix at Camino Barcelona varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 26. In the summer, the average age is 22.

Camino Barcelona does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
Our school simply could not be better located, lying just off Gran Via, right in the center of Barcelona – Plaza Cataluña is just 10 minutes’ walk away!
When you walk out of our school, you are in the very heart of Barcelona, near all the best shops and restaurants, with the most important places of interest all around you. What better location could there be to learn Spanish in Barcelona!
We are also the ONLY school in Barcelona with ON-SITE apartments and residence in the SAME building as the school, creating a campus atmosphere.
This means that we can guarantee you accommodation in the very center of Barcelona - which is where most people want to be!
We are also located just 100 meters from the Aerobus bus stop from and to Barcelona Airport. So, no need to take a taxi when you arrive at the airport. Just take the Aerobus, direct from outside the Airport Terminal, to the second bus stop on the route - Urgell - which is just 100 meters from our school and on-site accommodation! It couldn´t be easier, and costs just 6 Euros from Barcelona Airport!
As a beginner I was fast at a level to understand basic conversation. If I had more time I‘d like to stay longer. Hopefully another time.

Thanks to Camino I improved my Spanish one level - and I stayed just one week. I need to go back, for sure I will go back! I stayed in On-site Superior Apartments - Shared Room and I enjoyed as well. The location is perfect, the Urguell metro station is just 100 m from the school. Thank you ALL CAMINO.

The visits were interesting and the administrative staff went out of their way to be helpful. The location is excellent. I stayed with a host family but as I only paid for breakfast I hardly saw my host who was in bed in the morning and left food out for me. She was very nice but it didn't add to my language learning.
The course and the school is very much geared towards younger students. I had applied for the Club 50 but as there was only one other person it really didn't happen at all.
There were films available and I went to one, but I couldn't borrow one as I didn't have a DVD player with me. I would have welcomed a different film each night from say 5 or 6pm to 7 or 8pm shown on the school's TV in their building.
I think it would be helpful if there was some advice on how to follow-up the learning after the course eg which on-line resources do they recommend as well as the text books.
The registration process was very weak because they asked me to transfer the fee since they didn't have online payment, I had to wait for the administration to search my transfer payment.
The teachers was lovely and helpful , But they need technologies ways for teaching.
I chose private class, so I can only give you my opinion on it. It was small and there were no windows and ventilation in the room.
The school was good .
I liked pretty much everything. The only thing I found difficult was the addition of new students every Monday. I felt regressive and repetitive.

With regards to the housing (I stayed in a shared apartment) I would have expected to be informed in advance that my neighbors in the same apartment will be males. It was not comfortable to live with guys and use the same bathroom with them. I mean, if I knew in advance that the apartment is shared with males, I would not choose this kind of accommodation.
I studied for 1 week in Camino Barcelona. It's a great experience and I would recommend it to everyone. The teachers were very helpful, the atmosphere at the classes was very nice with lots of fun. School location is excellent, in the center of Barcelona. I wish I could stay there longer! :)

At the beginning I was worried because I decided to travel alone, but when I arrived in Camino Barcelona I met people that were more than acquaintances. People at the front desk are friendly and available for each doubt or piece of advice you need. Teachers are very good and every lesson is absolutely useful. Two of the best things I remember with so much love are the amazing
and astonishing city. Each side has a particular story to tell and every
traveller is driven by a passionate feeling of wholeness with it. The second are friends that I met there. I'm already in contact with most of them and we promised to see again each other in the next future, and possibly repeat this amazing experience at Camino Barcelona again. If I should give a grade from 0 to 10 to the whole experience, evaluating the school, the teachers and the overall service, it is absolutely a 10. Guys what are you waiting for? Go to Camino!!!

I am happy that I studied at Camino Barcelona. This school has given me much more than any other language courses. I was pleasantly surprised by the knowledge that I have received at this school. Whether you like it or not, feel free to talk or have a language barrier - you're going to speak, no matter what level you come with to school - even with zero! It could not be differently contributed: teachers surprised me by outlining the training material in an interesting way, helped me to overcome my language barrier, I began to speak and was immersed in the language !
You cannot be bored in this place! This is the best combination of study and recreation!
You can dine and relax on the beautiful and spacious terrace, and
you can go for a walk to the most beautiful city in Europe on foot or by bike. Getting together with friends from school was not difficult due to the presence of free Wi-Fi in the school. People are all different by age and nationality, but the general mood is all open to communication. Every day a new event! National holidays and events, engaging dancing (salsa and flamenco), visit the colorful bars and restaurants, nightlife, beautiful beaches (and swimming in Barcelona can be almost all year round).
We were pleased with the developed infrastructure near the school (there is even a convenience store, ATM and Metro within walking distance).
Residences: These are fully equipped with everything you need to stay!! You live in the best combination of apartments and hotel rooms, but you feel like home! They are located in the same building as the school! It is very convenient. Did not have to get up early, so as not to be late.
I spent a memorable time in my life!!
All school staff speak almost all languages, and were always ready to help you with any questions, even personal.
This is a team of professionals.
Want to come back here again and again!!
This school is amazing. I stayed there for 12 weeks and I can't say anything else about this school other than that it is very, very good. I started at level A1 (which is the lowest level) and ended up finishing level B1. I think I met almost all the teachers, as teachers switch classes almost every week. They are all very nice and helpful and try to let the whole class participate in the lecture. This way you get involved and get to know the other students as well as learn proper Spanish.
Maybe the best thing about the school is the on-site campus they have. I booked a room on the campus for the 12 weeks I was in Barcelona taking Spanish courses. The campus is always the starting point for a night out with the students from school (who either also live on the campus, or live somewhere nearby). Because of this you get to know all the students really quickly and make a lot of new friends. And as the school is situated in Barcelona almost every night can be a going out night (if you're up for it!).
I think I could say I had one of the best times in my life there in Barcelona, which is large part thanks to the Camino Barcelona school!
5 Stars!
This was my fourth time in Camino and whenever I wanted to go back to Barcelona I realized that the real reason was that I wanted to return to Camino Barcelona. This is because the first time I came here it was just for a study holiday but then it became the best time of my life! Living in the residence, I had the opportunity to know a lot of new people from all over the world. Also thanks to the extracurricular activities that allow even the most shy person to bond with the other students. Every night there is something amazing to do and even on the more quiet days you can go on the terrace, sunbathe, have a drink, chill out, read a book, have a meal and even sometimes have an amazing party! This is the comment on the emotional part of my experience at Camino Barcelona. But about the scholastic side I also consider fully satisfactory, since the fact I went from A1 to B2 level thanks to the skills and patience of teachers, allowing me to be able to deal with all situations in daily life, and even to face difficult job interviews in big, multinational companies, in Spanish. So now my Spanish is better than my English, and I´m thinking of moving to live in Barcelona one day. Thanks to you Camino Barcelona.

He was marvelously punctual and had made his PowerPoint program available for advanced study. The school staff gives tips on worthwhile places to visit and full instructions how to get there the most easily. Additionally I joined a school group for a nightclub flamenco show which, touristy or not, added another positive dimension to my stay in Barcelona. Thank you so much for the experience. Accommodations location: especially convenient. The afitriona chosen cooks well and generously and was most considerate of my dietary restrictions. It is important to specify whether smoking would be a problem, as it was. Also matters of lighting and wi-fi availability should be examined more thoroughly by the school. "Coming home" to someone and being able to interact certainly is/was the right choice personally, though. During that week I fell on steps at the school, they accompanied me to a clinic and saw to it that I was properly examined. What more could I ask for!
