Course description

Our Summer Camp program is located on the gorgeous campus of Concordia University Irvine. Our
students live, study, and eat most of the meals here.

Our basic Summer Camp package includes:

• 20 English lessons per week (15 hours from Monday to Friday) with qualified teachers
• Classes for every language level with a maximum of 16 students per class
• All course materials and an end-of-course certificate
• Brand-new dormitory-style residence with ensuite bathrooms
• Full board
• Fully-supervised daily social program packed with excursions and activities
• Local transportation costs

Classes

It is our priority at YES USA that our students excel in English. Our experienced and qualified teachers will ensure that students don’t just improve their English but also have fun doing it. Learners have interesting and motivating discussions with their teacher and classmates, play educational games, and learn about life in the USA and LA in particular. The focus of our program is on developing conversation and communication skills. Students make quick progress in their fluency and speaking accuracy through constant interaction with teachers and other students in their class.

All classrooms are modern and well equipped and located in the same building as the accommodations.

Accommodations

Our accommodations feature:

• Air-conditioned double rooms;
• A bed, a desk, a wardrobe for each student;
• One en-suite bathroom shared by students (ratio 1 bathroom:4 students);
• 24-hour security;
• Laundry on premises.
• Linen and towels provided;

Meals

The program includes the following meals:
• All-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining hall on campus or catered (weekdays)
• All-you-can-eat Brunch and Dinner (weekends)

Excursions

Our program is packed with excursions and activities. Students have a unique possibility to see the main attractions. Our friendly activity leaders will introduce you to the city, share their knowledge of one of the best cities in the world, its culture and history.

School description

YES USA runs amazing fully-inclusive Junior Camp programs for 12-19 year old students. The program includes 24/7 supervision, English classes, accommodations, full board, daily excursions, entry fees, and local transportation.

Classes

Students will have 20 academic hours (15 clock hours) of English lessons weekly, from Monday to Friday, with our highly-qualified and experienced teachers. We use cutting-edge techniques to help students improve their fluency and accuracy in speaking. Not only do learners improve their English but also have fun doing it by holding interesting and motivating discussions with their instructor and classmates, playing educational games, and learning about life in the USA and Los Angeles in particular.

After class, the learning continues as students continue to speak English with their activity leaders, and each other, as they enjoy our rich and exciting excursion program. Campers are strongly encouraged to use English at all times and practice using what they learned in class in real-life situations during trips and social activities.

Accommodations

Students live in a modern suite-style residence hall, which throughout the academic year houses students from Concordia University Irvine and YES USA students during the summer.

Excursions

Our excursion program is packed with activities to entertain and educate students when they are not in class allowing them to see the very best of California.

Our students get to see everything vibrant California has to offer. Students will visit the iconic areas of Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Hollywood Sign. There are also opportunities to shop at the Irvine Spectrum Center and South Coast Plaza as well as see beautiful beaches such as Laguna, Newport, and the Santa Monica Pier.

Daily activities and excursions have been carefully selected to be not only educational but exciting at the same time. Our enthusiastic staff members love their jobs and are always happy to share their knowledge of the city, American life, and history with our students.

Every single day campers will be able to practice their English in real-life situations in more informal settings while they are out exploring the fascinating city of Los Angeles and making lasting friendships.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. The school is also not authorized to issue an I-20 to support an F-1 student visa application. If you need a visa, you have to apply for a Visitor Visa (B1/B2) on your own.
