EC English Language Schools: Malta 30+
The General 24 course focuses on language fluency as a main goal. The four major skills students will practice are reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students are active participants and learn grammar, vocabulary and common expressions by working and speaking with their classmates.
Please note that the first day is mainly focused on pre-test and orientation
This is the timetable of the student:
08:30 - Student arrival and check-in
09:00 - Placement test and interviews
11:00 - Welcome breakfast and orientation with various EC staff members
12:00 - Welcome tour of school neighbourhood
Students taking courses with 20 or 24 lessons per week will not have class on the first day due to orientation, while those taking courses with 30 lessons per week will have two classes in the afternoon on the first day after orientation.
Students learn through context and real situations that help them to learn in a natural way. Teachers supply new topics daily, and utilize textbooks, authentic materials and resources, including newspapers, videos and the internet, to show and teach English in an everyday context.

I liked everything very much: the equipped classrooms. the very friendly and welcoming teachers, the location of the school. We had very interesting program with different excursions. Except that - I fell in love with Malta) I liked everything very much. Except for one thing : Its very hot outside , but too much cold in the classrooms . that`s why I felt a little sick, not just me, some guys too. It would be nice to make the temperature in classrooms a little higher, to avoid such a temperature difference.
I had a wonderful experience communicating with different people from all over the world. It was amazing!
Special thanks to Alessio, whose support we always felt.
The language study trip was a fantastic experience. My host family was great, I was welcomed like a member of the family. When I had to end my stay early for personal reasons, they supported me. I got to know lots of interesting people from all over the world. The school was good, but some of the lessons were a bit unstructured. Nevertheless, I learned a lot in the few days I was there. The excursions were always led by competent guides and were very informative. I fell a little bit in love with Malta.

location, local etc
best school ever, maybe because students are motivated, they pay !
nice teachers !
First of all, when the weather is nice, everybody is in a good mood, so for me it was a great experience because i have never been in malta before.
I like the activities, there were cheap and good organisations.
About the facilities, i was going on foot to my apartment and from to school, so it was easy.
The Location of the school in my opinion is not good and can be better.
I liked all the teachers, so sympathetic and helpful.
The only think that i can say to improve the quality of courses is, that the teacher has to vary the topic and also consider a good balance between the vocabulary and grammar. I practically had no grammar during one week, and i find that regrettable. They focus just to groups work to more practice and vocabulary.
I hope that my opinion can help you to improve the quality of the courses in malta.
Best regards
The experience has been positive.
1. the course: I had problems because there were no people with my level, and they changed me several times in the group. And I could not do my Business English course during the 3 weeks. A little chaos.
a) the first week classes from 9 to 12.15 were not business, and intensive hours (13.00-14.30) there was no group with my level.
They offered to exchange my intensive classes (7, 5 hours of class) for a private class of 1 hour. or go to English for Work (with 12 people).
One day I went to English for Work but I did not like it and the rest of the days I preferred to go to business classes even if it was not my level
b) the second week if I had my business course (9 to 12.15) and change the intensive hours (because there was no group) for a private class of 1 hour.
I think this change was not fair or equitable because I paid enough money for the small group classes and I did not receive them as such.
c) the third week if I had my business course both from 9 to 12.15 and from 13.00 to 14.30 (this week was the best and the one I liked the most).
Classes if I liked, I learned and raised the level.
The least I liked is that I did an online level test and they already knew my level. If there were no people, they had to have warned me and I would have changed course and paid a lot less (as I pack for a small group course).
2) As for the teachers, I had 7, all with a great experience and each with their style. I have NO complaint, perhaps the one I liked the least was Rafael Cali. The best Edward.
3) the situation of the school is very central
4) The school is very well (facilities), and offers free classes of conversation, grammar, listening- -
And the best things are the activities you propose, so as not to get bored and meet people.
5) The accommodation I look for me, I was staying at the house of a friend of my brother.
If I go back to an English course, I would definitely go back to this School but I would not contract so many classes.
