The Semi-Intensive 26 course focuses on language fluency as a main goal. The four major skills students will practice are reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students are active participants and learn grammar, vocabulary and common expressions by working and speaking with their classmates. The additional 4 lessons in this course allow students extra time to learn and practice all of their newly learned skills.
Please note that the first day is mainly focused on pre-test and orientation

I’m totally grateful to have a chance to be part of the EC English family.
The staff take time with each student to check on us, to evaluate our level, to meet our needs.
Also, they found a lovely homestay family for me. I can speak English at home, spend time with them and share very good food every evening.
Sure, the current pandemic change something. They don't have a class 30+ and they can't organise some social activities. But the employees do all they can to respect the Governement restrictions.
After only six weeks, my English has improved a lot.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Vancouver. These homes are often between 40 - 60 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 30+. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan. It is possible to live in a rented apartment during your study in Vancouver, but this tends to be more expensive. EC Vancouver 30+ provides some assistance with apartment rentals or you can rent an apartment on your own. Learn more about apartment housing
