"Really kind and genuine interest in teaching foreigners English properly."

Carsten Brandt, student from Denmark

My teacher was straight forward ... luckily no monolouges but fine dialogues.
The room/chair/table looked like my school class back in 1980.

Location was fine - downtown Miami.

We also did "Walk & Talks" - I found that comfortable.

The manager of the OHC came by and we had a good dialogue all three days too.

I "Graduated" with the hat and got my Diploma the last way ... that was a fun event.

I really liked Professor Rossany, who was very patient with the students and used various recreational activities so that we could practice the language. Facilities and location are very good. In short, I really enjoyed it and recommend the school.

Hi! So happy to know this. Hope to see you soon!

"Warmth of tutors but a request for more systematic teaching"

Ryuta Yamakoshi, student from Brazil

My children participated in the Kid's program for 2 weeks. They are really in an elementary level, so I was worried if they could follow the classes. However, the tutor made a great effort to let them follow the classes for 2 weeks, which made me very grateful.

But, I would like the school to provide a more systematic program for the kids somehow. For example, no textbook was provided to my kids. As far as I know, kids were often just talking or playing in the classroom. In the afternoon, kids participated in some activities such as going to zoo, watching a movie and so on. There, tutors just took and accompanied kids to the zoo or cinema, but they didn't try to encourage kids to use English or do anything educational.

I would like the school to improve these points because I would like to take my kids to Miami to let them study English in the United States again.

Miami Beach was a great place to enjoy the spare time. The studio we stayed in was located near to the school and the beach. It was very convenient to spend a life in South Beach.

Our junior programme is super fun and amazing. We hope your children comeback soon!

"The course in the school helped me a lot, and I improved my English."

Lenka Augustínová, student from Slovakia

The school had a very good level of teaching and teachers - dynamic teaching.
There was a small number of students in the classes, so there was an individual approach to each student. The school was in a very good location - everything was near the school, including the students’ accommodation.

Because the school is small, this corresponded to a friendly atmosphere, but not a lot of activities. There was a higher number of students from just one country – Switzerland – which for me was a negative point. The average age of the students was 20. The accommodations matched my requirements.

"Good experience"

Julieta Maria Lidia Rubinetti, student from Brazil

What I liked was the relationship with students of other countries,
The location is very good.
The classes are dynamics.
What I didn't like was the use of the air conditioner. It cause me one week of sickness. And also for my classmates.
I asked to my teacher and also for the general assistant many times to turn up the temperature of the air conditioner without success. After I got the cough they moderate the use but was to late.

Thank you for the feedback on our school. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your classes and Miami Beach in general. We strive to ensure that all our students have a rewarding and enjoyable stay while in Miami. Our teachers work very hard to provide top quality education and to have dynamic classes.

We have taken your concerns about the temperature of the classrooms seriously and I have instructed the teachers to speak with me directly if students are feeling too hot or cold. Miami Beach is a tropical climate and is very humid, buildings are required to have air conditioning to maintain a dry atmosphere. Nevertheless, we have a plan in place to address future concerns from our students.

We would love to have you attend our school again in the future and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

"I expected more for the price paid"

Eduardo Tadashi Ito, student from British Indian Ocean Territory

Activities:
- School does not have interest in helping or interacting with students.

School and Home Location:
- Good

Dear Student, thank you for your review. We are really sorry to know that.

"My experience was instructive"

Anaïs Rougier, student from France

I was in Miami for 3 weeks with my family, and 1 of these weeks I was at Sol Schools. It was a great experience, and thanks to this class my English has improved. I have more confidence to talk in front of people. I had great time.
The teacher, Ali, was great. I loved her. Very close to Lincoln Road, the locations was awesome.
But, in this week, the first day wasn't great at all because we only talked about rules and housing rules. I wasn't in a student house, so it was boring. So the first impression of this school wasn't cool.

The teachers were helpful. Different kinds of activities. The school location is perfect.
In my mind it would be better to have student books, maybe even for an extra charge.

"It was fantastic"

Elke Pietz, student from Brazil

I loved to study in Miami Beach. Great teachers, very close to my apartment, they offered many activities, but I only stay for one week. I rented an apartment on Ocean Drive 530. So it was very close. I hope I be back next year in March. Thanks for this wonderful experience. Oh , I made so many new friends.

"The experience met my expectaion"

khaled alkhaja, student from United Arab Emirates

I liked the environment in the school: open, friendly, student from different backgrounds & offered activities after-class.
The management and teachers were so welcoming and helpful, responded to all inquiries either related to the course or not. The accommodation was perfect and its location was so close (only few steps to the school). Also I liked the location of the school. It’s close by everything: shops, restaurants, cafes & most importantly the beach.

I would like to come back again for the same experience.

visa

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying full time in the United States for more than 18 hours per week, you will receive an I-20 that you need to submit to the US embassy along with your F-1 student visa application. The I-20 has a SEVIS tracking number on it. Students who wish to apply for a student visa must pay the SEVIS fee online before going to the US embassy or consulate for their visa interview.

Your I-20 will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged $105 when you register.

Please note that United States law states that an I-20 can only be issued to students who intend to pursue full-time English language studies. United States law does not permit students to study part-time with an F-1 Student Visa. If you are studying for less than 18 hours per week, you have to apply for a Visitor Visa (B1/B2) on your own.

Flights and airport transfer

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Miami based on your budget, schedule and preferences.

When you book a course with us, you can opt to purchase an international insurance plan that covers not only your health care cost but also loss of your personal belongings.
