I paid and expected 2 weeks of training for the Cambridge Proficiency exam. Unfortunately the teacher was sick during the first week and our substitute was not used to teaching students on CPE level and therefore I sadly did not learn anything relevant for my CPE test during the first week. I did like the teacher and the peers but as I said, that was not what I paid for, after all I signed up to prepare for CPE. The second week where the original teacher was back was very helpful but I was lacking experience which I hoped to get in the first week. I did buy some additional CPE books for training but I guess I will fail the test (I had it on the 9th of June) and would have feeled more prepared if I hade done all the parts (we only did reading and writing in the 2nd week) if I had done every part of the exam at least once with tips from a teacher.

I had to ask for the way to my host family's house, but people are very friendly and helpful. once there, I liked my room; it had all I would have asked for. 'my' family gave me a warm welcome. they were nice, friendly and I felt at home. my landlady is a marvelous cook, so I have nothing to complain.
the school is well equiped, and the teachers extremely skilled. i was the oldest there by far (i knew that before, but i wanted to be in a proficiency class), i got along well with my fellow students the age of my children! i tried to make the most of it, but the time given was short!
My host mother was very kind and interested in my well-being. I could tell her all my worries and concerns and I appreciate her kindness. My class was alright. It was a bit boring sometimes but that is due to the level where you mostly just have to learn vocabulary and read complex articles. The location of the school and the location of my homestay where perfect. I didn't really participate in any activities, so I can't tell you anything about that.
The lady from Language International was very kind, eplained all the things to me and found a perfect family.
I can't complain at all. I would always do it again :)
I have to say I liked my time at Kaplan, although on the first day the introduction for rookies was far too long for my taste. The teachers with whom had lessons were very competent knew what the were doing. The atmosphere in class was very good and I liked my classmates. I would advise a bit more of pronounciation classes. But besides that everything was alright. Also the classrooms themselves were nice.
