Tropical Coast Languages is located in Almuñécar, a town of the Granada province located on the Mediterranean Coast of Andalucia, which has a unique tropical microclimate, hence the name “Costa Tropical”.
It is situated in the heart of the old town and pedestrian precinct. It is close to the main places of interest in town, e.g. the Moorish castle of San Miguel, the Roman fish-curing factory at the Botanical Gardens, the Archaeological Museum, etc. and only a minute's walk from the beach, shops, restaurants and bars.
All persons and teachers are very friendly and nice. The location in Almunecar is nice too.
The room nr. 3 is not my favourite space. There is no fresh air and it is stuffy.
Maybe we see us again next year.

Show details » Read more...The facilities and the teachers were great - the schools location very nice and the general atmosphere at the school warm and welcoming. Liked that the school apart from teaching offered excursions
However the class i participated in became "bit of a mess". 2 days with only 4 students - then all of a sudden 7 German (very young ) students who should participate for 4 days - back to 3 students plus one new who only showed up for a day .- and the last 2 days back to the basic group
Our teacher handled it well - however I will not in future participate in classes but have booked some private lessons instead. More expensive but I bet more efficient
Difficult for a beginner, but during the course I understood Spanish better, the location in the center of Almuñécar was fantastic, but the locals were too small. The teacher was nice and she helped when I asked for it (when I did not understand it all). The walk through a part of Almuñécar was a nice initiative.
Show details » Read more...My stay was top, the location of the school was top right in the center of Almunecar, the teachers always listening and wanting our progress… the activities offered were good but a little too few in terms of visits to the surroundings…
Show details » Read more...We would have liked to have lesson from 2 to 4 hours. When I heard it was possible, I was very happy. I didn't read the contract properly, 1 hour of school is actually 45 minutes. That was very unfortunate. We also learned during the third day that the following Monday and Wednesday were Spanish holidays and that the school would be closed. At that time our contract was very important, because we had bought 20 lessons. Felipe, the principal of the school solved 'the problem' by giving us extra lessons for the last two days. Our teacher was very nice and we have learned a lot of her; her name is Maria.
The classrooms were very small, I was glad we were three people. This of course because of the corona pandemic. We had an excursion: 'Malaga Iluminada'. This was really great! During this activity, we spoke to some students who were at school in the morning. My girlfriend, who is staying in Spain for two months, asked Felipe after 'our' two weeks, if she could go to school longer. At the moment she is still in the study benches. If it is possible through you, I would like to thank the people of the school again. ( ***Did you extend your course at the school and study for more than 2 weeks - my friend did)
Classes : inspiring, good mix with language, grammar and knowledge about Spain. Teachers: experienced good quality in the training of grammar. Location : In Almunecar perfect. Good facilities. Housing in an apartment without internet. Good location of the apartment in an area with supermarkets and close to the beach.
