LTL Mandarin School teaches students from all over the world, including:
LTL Mandarin School has locations in Beijing 北京 and Shanghai 上海 with some courses also available in Chengde 承德.
The school in Beijing is conveniently located in the Central Business District (CBD), with a huge variety of shops and restaurants right on our doorstep. We are a 5 minute walk from the Dawanglu 大望路 subway stop on Line 1 and can also be easily reached by bus or taxi.
The Shanghai school is located in the heart of Shanghai in the Former French Concession, right between the Yongkang Lu bar street and IAPM Shopping Mall, and 3 minutes walk from South Shaanxi Road subway station.
Our unique Chinese Immersion program takes place partly in Chengde, an ancient imperial city two hours north of Beijing. Home to the Imperial Mountain Resort and the Putuo Temple, the city is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Here students will meet their teachers at their home-stay accommodation, hotel or local cafes for one-on-one tuition.
The school nurtures students in small groups. There’s a welcoming atmosphere. The teachers are thorough and diligent but in a supportive manner. They have good energy and engage well with the students. Support continues on WeChat groups. I didn’t take long to integrate, despite the disparity in age: I’m 67, my classmates were 28 and 18. I learned a lot and hope to return some day.
