Walking through its streets you can see beautiful houses of Spanish colonial architecture, as well as Victorian architecture. It has a monumental church, the Basilica of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, whose imposing front view welcomes visitors and passersby upon entering the canton.
Santo Domingo has experienced increasing development, so, without losing the essence of a colonial town, it offers benefits similar to those of a city, such as a wide variety of restaurants, sodas, cafes and bars; supermarkets, stores, gyms and banks, among others; all this in the center and surroundings.
