Colegio de Espana is in the center of Salamanca, I was really close to the school. I enjoyed the classes because the teacher was really great, we were talking a lot in Spanish, we also laughed with the others students! I made 2 Italian friends and with them we went to a salsa class, proposed by the school. This was really funny !

Thank you so much for your comment! It's great to hear that your stay with us was what you expected and that you have had so much fun in our classes. For us it's really important that every student that leave the school remember us as a good place and also leave the city with a new friends.
Keep improving your salsa skills because if you come back we want to see you dancing! :)
The class structure, lessons and all the instructors were excellent. The lesson structures were good. That included some grammar, vocabulary and cultural Spanish content. Very good. The hand outs and study books were good.
The school did everything to accommodate the proper learning level.
It was often frustrating being in a class with a bunch of 15 year old students that were disruptive. This kind of thing is normal but not pleasant for a person who is 54.
The classrooms were very cold in April.
Why were the classes always late to start. It was strange that I always arrived at about 8:55, and by 9:05 the entire school was practically vacant. Everyone only arrived at about 9:10 or later. If the classes start at 9:15, that’s fine, but the published start time should be accurate.
The booking agency was often very slow to respond to email. But the front office staff at the school was always quickly available. The entire school staff was awesome and always helpful.
The booking process was:
1.apply with personal info and estimated knowledge level.
2.pay tuition
3.wait for confirmation of availability in a class for the estimated knowledge level
4.class placement confirmed
5. Take knowledge level test.
( with this, my personal knowledge level estimate was wrong and the knowledge level was correct but I was still placed into the incorrect class knowledge level)
I suggest the booking process is this.
1.apply with personal info and estimated knowledge level
2take knowledge level test
3.wait for confirmation of availability in a class for the tested knowledge level
4.class placement confirmed
5. Pay tuition
Thanks. I will return again for more classes
Thank you so much for your review. We are happy to hear that the lessons where good and that you where placed in the appropiate level. We work really hard to make everyone feels at home and we hope you felt that.
Regarding to the cold in our classrooms we always have the heat on but due to Covid we have to open the windows because this is a reccomendation for the goverment to reduce the risk of contagious in classes and closed places.
We hope to see you back soon to our school!
I leveled up my Spanish really very much in just a month. The teachers are first class, so involved in my learning, giving all they can to help, support and improve. They are so engaged and they had a wonderful sense of weaving grammar, speaking, culture together. Really my best language teachers so far in life. The school is lovely, along a small street that beautifully leads up to the city center, making it a joy walking there every morning. A inner garden with flowers for breaks. We got lots of help arranging after school initiatives as well. I love the whole experience and I have improved my understanding and skills more than I had expected.

The Colegio de Espana is very available and meets our expectations. The only negative point but which is the responsibility of the school is the little child while the establishment is quite suitable

We were assigned to appropriate classes on the first day after our initial test. The allocated teachers were stimulating and very entertaining speaking to us purely in Spanish. They were excellent. The facilities were good and the location was near the centre of Salamanca. One activity I chose were “How to cook Paella”, which tasted genuine and was great! The trips to Segovia and La Alberca were amazing and are really recommended to others.
I chose to be housed with a host family. As a much older student I wouldn’t recommend this selection as there are good priced single rooms with en suite bathrooms also available.
We are really happy to read your review. It's always a pleasure to hear a good feedback from our students. The school makes a big effort to make everyone feels at home and to enjoy every lesson. We hope you have learned how to cook Paella so you can make it for your family and friends :).
It was really amazing. I will never forget this experience. The school is awesome, teachers very nice and friendly. I like this school very much because it has a kind of " a family atmosphere" . I learned lot of things and also stuff about spanish culture. I met people from all around the world.
I'm very glad that I chose this school and I don't regret it at all.
Thank you very much for everything.
Thank you so much for your review!! It's always a good thing to hear that our students have had a great experience in our school.
We work really hard to make everyone feels at home away from home and listening that you felt this is amazing!. We hope to see you back one day!
Colegio de España was a pleasant place. The location and the facilities were very traditional in the good sense of this concept.
The two teachers I met were experts in their areas and had lot of patience e.g. with my poor vocabulary of Spanish. The other students were very kind and took me to the community even though I am the same age as their grandmothers. I learned new important matters in Spanish grammar and made lot of homework's - and loved to do so, luckily I had my grammar book from home with me. I did not participate in other activities and stayed in a hotel. Certainly this situation did not help improve my verbal communication skill.
Maybe it is not the best idea to start one week’s course so that you come somehow into the middle of a course. On the other hand it is very flexible.
What an amazing review thank you so much! The main purpose of the school is that our students improve their Spanish knowledge during their stay and also that they feel in a family atmosphere. Thank you so much for trusting our school and we hope that you have had a lifetime experience.
The rooms had a fair amount of students, ranging from 3 to 7, allowing the participation from every student.
The teachers were sensational! Teaches the language, along with a history lesson of Spain and their way of life.
The school's location is excellent. We had the opportunity to participate in many activities offered by the school and the city's tourism office.
The family that hosted us was wonderful, warm, friendly and helpful. Everything was good!
We are really happy to read your comment. The most important thing is that you enjoyed the lessons and your stay in Salamanca. We hope to see you back one day in Salamanca.
Big kisses.
The location is situated very central, which facilitates the visit of all important sightseeing places of Salamanca.
The teachers are taking care very well of your improvement and are still prepared to help in case of need. They provide not only information about grammar and the language, they introduce to you the culture and typical local specialties.
All the personnel was always friendly.
My accommodation was at the Salamanca Suite Studios, Plaza de la Libertad, en Salamanca and fulfilled totally my expectations,
I enjoyed my stay and my language course.
Thanks for your comment! Wish you the best and hope to see you back in our school.
