Standard Program
Our Standard English program (20 lessons/week) places heavy emphasis on speaking and listening skills through regular communication. It has been developed to help language students improve their spoken and written skills. We use a comprehensive curriculum that incorporates grammar, vocabulary and idioms, speaking and listening, and reading/writing activities.
Our standard program is taught by professional, qualified, and experienced instructors.
Our Standard Program runs five days a week, with a total of 20 lessons. Students have the opportunity to work with two different teachers and the most up-to-date, effective textbooks and materials available to ensure quick progression.
Following classes are available:
Integrated Skills focuses on the four main English skills - reading, writing, speaking and listening
Active Listening, students will cover a variety of topics while practicing English conversation management, conversational styles, and pronunciation. Students learn commonly-used idioms and slang in a communicative way.
Electives: including TOEFL iBT Test Preparation, TOEIC Test Preparation, IELTS Test Preparation, Academic Writing, Business English/French, Pronunciation, and others
Course topics include: a morning focus on grammar and an afternoon focus on listening and speaking.

Our teachers are dedicated to continued improvement and keep up with the new trends in language teaching by attending workshops in the city. Toronto's teaching team definitely knows what it takes to keep our students happy and satisfied. Our Toronto school has a main lounge area for our students to study and relax. We also have computers with internet connection as well as WiFi for our students to stay connected to their families and friends at home, but also to help them practice their English.

GEOS Languages PLUS Toronto does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
Are you looking to travel to a school where you don't have to worry about long travel time? If so, GEOS Languages Plus Toronto is the school for you. We are located in the hub of Toronto, close to all the major tourist attractions and an abundance of different cultural restaurants. Take a 20 minute walk east from the school and you will stumble upon one of the biggest and oldest markets in North America, St Lawrence Market. Thinking about taking a nice stroll by the water front, take a 15 minute walk north west and visit Toronto's beautiful and lively Harbor Front which was originally used as our main shipping port up until 1972. Travel 10 minutes north and you are in Toronto's Fashion District where you can shop at vintage boutiques among other unique shops. Head east and you have entered Toronto's entertainment district full of fun and eventful things to do. Finally, on your way back to GEOS, you can browse through the Financial District and see all the historic as well as modern buildings Toronto has to offer.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Toronto. These homes are often between 20 - 70 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 18 - 60. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged C$ 75 when you register.
