Located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, CEBP has been offering French language courses to foreign students from all over the world since 2012.
Our professional and experienced teachers strive to provide numerous teaching activities that enrich our students’ French language knowledge and familiarity.
CEBP provides a wide range of classes and structured programs, divided into 14 levels to ensure that each student can obtain a personalized education.
Our programs are part of the European structure of references for the French Language.
- Absolute Beginner A1.1 (No previous knowledge required)
- A1.2 Beginner
- A2.1 / A2.2 Elementary
- B1.1 / B1.2 Intermediate
- B2.1 / B2.2 Advanced
- C1 Autonomous
We use the textbooks of EDITO for all these levels. And we finish one textbook (corresponding to one level) in 12 weeks (3 months).
In terms of standard study periods at our school:
A 14 week study period is a saison.
A 7 week study period is a session.
And therefore 2 sessions amount to 1 saison.
Moreover we also offer focused, reinforcement courses:
- Preparation for DELF B2 and DALF C1 exams.
- Pronunciation course
- Reinforcement courses for levels A1, A2 and B1 students
(Grammar, Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking)
- In summer, we also have a preparation course for students starting university in the fall.
- We hold a curated cultural activity or a school excursion every month.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, CEBP can supply you with all the documentation you need to support for your visa application. The letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address.
Students can apply and prolong their student Visa with our assistance, and we can also supply the legal “convention de stage,” if students study in our intensive course (20 hours per week) for a minimum of 12 weeks (3 months.)
Starting dates
Students with a level above A1.2 can join our classes every Monday of the school year, and they can attend our classes for a minimum period of only one week.
Absolute beginners (A1.1):
Only students who have never studied French before can join this class, starting on specific dates (once a month).
The nationality and age mix at C.E.B.P. (Etablissement d'Enseignement Supérieur Privé) varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 25. In the summer, the average age is 25.
C.E.B.P. teaches students from all over the world, including:
C.E.B.P. does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
CEBP is located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, only 5 minutes from the metro station Les Gobelins.
The "Corvisart" station (metro line 6) is another excellent option to reach the school.
I loved the teachers but the classes were very poorly ventilated. Even when we opened the windows we couldn't get enough air in, and the sounds from the workers disturbed as continously. About the facilities, I couldn't find a water dispenser to fill my water bottle.

I did an intensive course for 3 weeks. I had 3 different teachers during the time because I switched level during the course of the weeks. I liked each individual teacher for their different qualities and appreciated their teaching.
I found their level of knowledge proficient but was especially impressed by Clément who taught the A2 level. His detailed description of many rules and structures of the language really helped and will be a good guide as I continue learning the language on my own. They offered excursions too, which is a great initiative and lots of fun - chocolaterie and museum visits.
I'm really happy with the school and the course. Great learning atmosphere and nice people. Something which could be improved is the assessment of the entry test. I ended up in a group which I believe was too advanced for me but did not know if the lower level would be better or too low. I wish I had had more guidance in this beyond the entry test I did for the application.
I do think a level in between the two would have been better for me but getting some thorough reviews of some basics really helped me. It was fine to change groups from one week to another, which I'm happy about. I also think the application process was rather complicated.
The communication between Language International and CEBP was rather slow, and late in the process I was told that the week I had chosen to start was an exam week for the previous period so I should start a week later. This worked out fine but the information given, that it's possible to start any Monday, was very misleading. Other than that, I'm very happy with my experience.
I was at CEBP for only two weeks, but it was a good experience. The teachers were very patient with me and very knowledgeable. Their classes were fun and entertaining.
The school is at a convenient location close to subway stations and in a quiet neighborhood.
We had fun activities with the teachers like picnics and fun exercises which helped us get to know the other students and better learn.
I wish I had time to stay longer.
Hello, I really enjoyed studying at CEBP, I took a program for 3 weeks and those weeks of studies gave me a full package that helped to pass Dalf C1 exam and succeeded effectively. The classes are nice and designed to receive few students where the teacher should be able to help every student easily. The school is located near all opportunities from transport near stop over of tramways to basic needs like shopping malls, restaurants etc. Teachers are experienced in teaching students from different levels of french knowledge, age and culture difference. The building accomodating the school is nice and the time I was there it was under rehabilitation to put it to the other level of beauty and serviceability.
I like everything there from customercare to programs that are taught depending on the level of participant.

Your feedback for our staffs is really valuable for us.
We will definitely work on the feedbacks which you have provided to grow and achieve our student's satisfaction.
Thanks and hope to see you in future.
I enjoyed my time with C.E.B.P.
There were two amazing teachers, who gave me a great start in French: Joanne and Nataly.
Most of my classmates were really nice as well, but most of the time the courses were online, so we didn’t spend much time together.
The only thing I didn’t like was a trainee, who wasn’t really experienced to teach and she had almost 50% of our classes.
Nevertheless, thanks to these courses I started speaking French and now I feel pretty much confident in France.

Hello, my name is Valeriia, last year I decided to learn French language in Paris in private school, I was looking for a good price school (No more than 5€ for a year) and I found one. The school sent all the documents for a visa and I went to Paris.
At school they have small classes and a place for a snack between classes. On weekends, the school organizes excursions where you can practice French between students. I would recommended C.E.B.P to my friends.
Firstly, I was not property assessed when I arrived, they put me with people with a bit lower level, then one day no one arrived for class, the class got cancelled and I was not notified. The location is not the best. When the evaluación day came, the teacher told me I should be in a different class. So in general, you get what you paid for. I would not recommend it though.

Bonjour Camille,
We're very sorry for your disappointment.
Our school provides french courses of many different and separated levels in four different time zones : 8:50 am / 11:00 am / 1:40 pm / 3:50 pm. And students are allocated to different classes through level testing.
However, unfortunately, we could not live up to your availabilities since you were only available at 8:50 am.
We feel very sorry for the fact that you attended class only for one day and could not discover our good teachers and effective education programs.
We hope to see you again in Paris if possible, and wish you a happy new year !
Best wishes.
I did A1 class for 2 weeks so this is my review of that.
Classes: I thought the teachers were generally good. They were all native French speakers and taught the whole class in French which was good. I thought the class moved at a good pace though I know many other students thought it was progressing too quickly. During my 2 weeks there though, there was a lot of turnover in the teachers. We had 3 different teachers! One teacher quit 3 days in, another teacher substituted for another couple days, and then they found another substitute teacher.
Location: It's in the 13th arrondissement and easy to get by metro. I would have liked a more central, happening location but 13th arrondissement isn't bad.
Facilities: They have 3 classrooms and a central lounge area that opens into a patio which was a nice place to hang out and chat with your fellow classmates.
Activities: I was only there for a short time so the only activity they had was a walk through the neighborhood looking at street arts. I think there could have been more social activities.
I did not utilize their housing system or know if they even have a housing system since I lived on my own in an airbnb.
Bonjour, Cassie !
We are very sorry for replacement of teachers. Ms. Emilie had to quit suddenly due to a family matter, so we couldn't have enough time to find a new teacher. That's why we have asked some of our teachers who were available at that moment for the Covering.
Anyway, thanks for your review of our school. We're really appreciative :)
I hope we could see you again in Paris !
Bye-bye
The Language school is really amazing and affordable! The instructors are great as well. I took some basic French classes and I feel like I learned so much! I definitely recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a language school. The quality of the lessons are amazing and it is super affordable which was a priority for a student like me.

Teachers were Okey but a lot of time was impossible to understand because they didn't speak English very well
or
they miss a lot of world to teach us,
I felt my course very very slow, sure the idea to mix eastern and western people is wonderful to get in touch but not to study French, the different kind of alphabet, the pronunciation and all other things that made up a language is too different.
Sometimes i think like im wasting my time and i prefer to sleep or to do something else. I think the timetable could be changeable and not just like "you choose that and that is"
I never heard about activities.
Facilities were okay.
I can't say anything about house because i stayed in a house without convention with the school.
