Course description

Many tourists begin their trip to South America visiting Peru, many come to our school in Cusco to study for a short time before continuing their journey to other countries. There is a huge difference between not speak any Spanish and speak a little, knowing the main verbs, the useful expressions, know for example: How to ask for information in a travel agency, in a hotel, in a restaurant, to bargain the price with a taxi driver, etc. Simple things but that will make that you become from a mere observer to an actor during your trip, so you will be able to have a better relationship with local people and enjoy plenty your vacation around Latin America.

Our school during many years of experience teaching international students has developed a very specific syllabus for travelers: Most used verbs and important vocabulary that a student is able to learn in a short time because travelers not have much time and they can not lose time learning unimportant grammatical things that will not use during their trip.

Our teachers are very friendly and very experienced in teaching Survival Spanish to traveler students, they will create in the classroom a friendly atmosphere for you to feel free to ask anything to your teacher, and he will teach you about that topic.

"Fun and worthy."

Emelie Berggren, student from Sweden

Really friendly and good teachers! I do wish that the school would provide some kind of test or oral exam to determine what the individual student need to develop their Spanish.

"Unforgettable impressions and I made friends with people from different cultures."

Philipp Gaab, student from Germany

The classes were great and I was very excited about the way of teaching. It was always a friendly contact. Also the location of the school is optimal, as well as the location of my host family. On the whole I would return to Cusco, because of the people and the unforgettable, unique landscape. I enjoyed it!

"Very good school and friendly people"

Ankie Fleischeuer, student from Netherlands

The classes were good and my teacher was excellent. The location was nice but really cold in the morning, luckily they had blankets and tea. My host family was very friendly and welcoming, they made me feel comfortable and at home.

"Don't hesitate, choose Wiracocha, I chose and will do it once again"

Lukasz Gluchowicz

I studied in Wiracocha Spanish School for two months having classes every day for two hours. It was excellent in terms of flexibility of schedule, provided free Salsa and cooking classes, the teachers were very friendly, approachable and are highly skilled professionals. Moreover the conditions are amazing, you can choose having classes either inside or outside in the sunny patio. The atmosphere was great, and school organized weekly evening meetings in different local cuisine restaurants and, from time to time, excursions to admire Inca's tracks hidden from tourists. I highly recommend that school. I wish to go back there one day.

"Intensive Spanish courses given by heartwarming people."

Wouter Breunese

When I arrived at Wiracocha Spanish School in Cusco I could not speak any Spanish. I learned a lot in those four weeks of classes. The teachers were helpful, very patient and were really heartwarming people. For every level there was a special group, I was lucky that my classes were private. My compliments to Magaly, the mother at my host family, she was a great cook and at the end I could have total conversation in Spanish which was one of my main goals. I definitely want to return someday.

"Very friendly and flexible to requests like changing hours of classes - a big thank you!! :)"

Biliana Zlateva

I had only 4 days of classes, because 1 day was holiday due to Inti Raymi. I liked the teachers a lot. Thank you for the good lessons! The rooms were cold and very small though, but there is not much you could change, I suppose :(. My apartment was really good, though it was just cold, and I had problems with the key when opening the door. I was also bit scared when it was dark in the patio and the dog was free and barking.

"At Wiracocha Spanish School, the teachers make their pupils live the language!"

Matthias Geiselhart

My experience during my two-week stay at Wiracocha Spanish School was in every respect excellent. The classes were small, and the teachers were very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere there is what makes learning Spanish so easy and successful. Aside from the classes, there are many social activities at school or even at night!

"Pretty good"

Rebecca Sims, student from Canada

The school was great while I was in Peru, the classes were really good and all the teachers were really nice. The teachers were easy to work with and they always made classes fun. The school had Salsa lessons every Thursday for free and cooking classes sometimes on friday. The location of the school was nice; it was close to the host families and it was close to the Plaza de Armas, which was nice. I stayed with 2 host families. The first one was nice, although I had some problems with them and so I requested to move houses. The school was really amazing with dealing with my situation and they moved me into a new house with a really nice family. The second family lived on Tullumayo and they were absolutely amazing! The rooms were really nice as well, and the mom cooked amazing food all the time!

"It is great because the lessons are held in a relaxed atmosphere and "lesson" does not only mean teaching in the classroom."

J. Luhn

It is great because the teachers are very friendly and you practice a lot as you have the chance to speak very often. Besides the grammar stuff, you also get to know the city of Cusco during walks and you learn a lot about Peruvian history and culture. Also the facilities are in a very good condition so you will like to learn there!

"Your flexible course can meet anyone's need. I have learned a great deal from my individual class one on one."

Kenzo Matsumoto

First of all, I can say that I made a good decision to go and study at Wiracocha again this year. The course that I took turned out to be very flexible. I had studied Spanish at Wiracocha before. So this was my second time. This year I had a specific purpose, which was that I wanted to acquire some skills and knowledge of medical translation. The director kindly arranged my class to meet my need. I really appreciate Elias's efforts and resources, from whom I was able to learn many important principles of medical translation. He was so good!!
