Course description

Peru Volunteer & Travel offers a unique experience of learn Spanish and get to know the most delicious Peruvian dishes, tasting the local cuisine while you continue practicing your Spanish.

Students will have the opportunity to take Chocolate course, and Learn how cocoa beans are produced and participate in the intricate process of turning them into delicious chocolate.
Learn about preparation of Pisco Sour making with your choice of four different varieties culled from hundreds of Pisco already vetted by our resident experts. You’ll get an up close and personalized introduction to its history, diffusion, the process and how to best appreciate Peru’s national drink. Choose from a single grape varietal, a Master Distiller’s inspirations across various varietals, Elevation, North to South or our house favorites.
and least but not last, will have a specialized cooking class, where you will go Shop for your own fresh ingredients at the central market and prepare them into a typical Peruvian meal of your choice.

Accommodation
Students will stay in a homestay where they will live with a local family. Students can expect to share a room with one or two other. We highly recommend staying with a family; that way you will also learn the Peruvian way of life, meet local people, eat typical food, speak the language (Spanish) and engage in local customs and traditions.

Students will be sharing bathroom and common areas with other volunteers and members of the family.

Accommodation is from Sunday to Saturday, check out at 10:30am

Food & Beverages
2 meals are included (breakfast and dinner). Students can expect to experience a variety of flavors and meals during their experience as Peruvian food is diverse. We will be glad to let the family know if you have special eating needs. Please let us know ahead of time so that we can make arrangements for you.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.

Flights and airport transfer

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Cusco based on your budget, schedule and preferences.

Travel insurance
