Matches will also be played to put all of this to practice.
WATERSPORTS
With a total of 15 hours per week (3 hours per day from Monday to Friday) our students will practice activities such as Sailing, Windsurf, Paddle Surf and Kayak with the instructors of our National Sailing School.
The students will learn how to assemble and dissemble parts of the sailing boats, wind awareness, improve balance whilst learning Paddle Surf and Windsurf and learn rowing techniques with the kayaks at sea.
A fun and complete program.
LOCATION
Located in the marina of Calanova, in an incomparable place with direct access to the sea and surrounded of unique beaches and places to visit. Only 10 minutes to the Centre of Palma and 15 minutes from airport Son San Joan. For soccer practice, particitants use school facilities of Agora Portals International School, located 5 minutes from Port Calanova.
ACCOMMODATION:
The participants will use the facilities of the port of Calanova where we have the National Sailing School and our two residences (Reina Sofia Residence) full equipped with classrooms, playground, canteen, swimming pool and much more. All of this supervised by our instructors 24 hours.
AIRPORT TRANSFER:
Transfer option from Palma de Mallorca Airport (Son San Juan) to Port Calanova. Transfers price from 09:00h to 18:00h is €50 each way/student. The transfer out of our normal timetable will have an extra cost of 25€ each way.

Our story starts in 1976 when the Calanova National Sailing School was inaugurated by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, Juan Carlos, and Sofía.

The nationality and age mix at Port Calanova varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 13. In the summer, the average age is 12.

The programme takes place in the National Sailing School of Calanova, an astonishing location on the seafront. The complex has Reina Sofia residence, with all rooms facing the sea. It is located in the Port of Calanova, only 15 minutes from the centre of Palma. Being the best Water Sports’ school in Spain, it is used each summer by the Royal Spanish Family.

Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 10 - 15. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about student residence accommodation
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. The school is also not authorized to issue documents to support your visa application. If you need a visa, you have to apply for a visitor or tourist visa on your own.
