Winter English courses in Cape Town

This course combines the standard English in the morning with afternoon electives twice a week. You can choose between the following options, Speaking and Listening, or Reading and Writing.

The General English course is for students who wish to improve their current level of English in a group environment. The focus is on fluency and highlights the practical understanding of English through the four main skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Our Intensive course guarantees the fastest progress and is not suitable for absolute beginners. Four of the following Focus Groups that are designed to mimic the world beyond the classroom, can be chosen in the afternoon, depending on one's English level: Survival English (A2), Listen Up (A2+/B1 and above), Write On (A2+/B1 and above), Let's talk (A2+/B1 and above), South African Culture (A2+/B1 and above).

The Semi-Intensive course is not suitable for absolute beginners but for those who really wish to improve their English. In addition to the morning course, students can choose two of the following Focus Groups in the afternoon, depending on their English level.

Our General English Courses are ideal for students who use English for everyday purposes. This English course is our most popular one and perfect for anyone who either wants to start learning English or wants to improve their English skills.

Our General English Courses are ideal for students who use English for everyday purposes. Our General English course with 16 hours per week is our shortest course and is offered at 7 different levels.

The Intensive English course is for students who wish to consolidate their English language with the specific aim of fluency and functional language. The afternoon lessons are combined according to communicative fluency and not necessarily levels.

A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn. You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.
