Structure
Mornings: General English 20 lessons per week
Afternoons: One-to-One 4 hours per week over 2 afternoons which would include task based learning.
At Alpha our research indicates that as well as needing to learn English for educational and professional or career advancement many of our students would also like to develop their leisure-time skills at the same time as they are taking an English language course.
The Adult Intensive Course is designed for those students that wish to make a big improvement in their level of English over a short period of time. As with the Standard Course (GE1) all the four skills are covered with an emphasis on oral communication.

Afternoon Fluency Development lessons on Work Topics are provided on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The purpose of The General Business English module is to help students to understand and practise the fundamentals of effective business communication through English.
If you want to focus on improving your international communication skills - then this intensive course is for you! This course is not only aimed at improving an individual's General English and Workplace English communication skills. Businesses can also benefit.
This programme is designed for students who have more time at their disposal to learn English and who wish to become proficient in English by being immersed in the language and in the culture for a long period of time. Before arrival, students are tested and a specific study programme is created for them taking into account their level of English, their aim for the term of the programme and the length of time they are here to study.

How long should I study?
The minimum duration for a language course is usually two weeks, but students benefit the most starting from the 3rd and 4th weeks of their language course, after they get used to the new environment. By this time, the early distractions are over and the student has "settled in". The average student takes about 12 weeks of language studies abroad.
