Crawley is a town and local government district in West Sussex, England. It is situated 28 miles south of London. History indicates that the area has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The area that is now Crawley was a center for ironworking during the Roman times. The town developed slowly as a market town but eventually grew due to its location between London and Brighton as it sat along a trade route. Students enrolled in English school in Crawley will find that the town of Crawley is viewed as a shopping destination. The main attraction in the town is its large County Mall. The County Mall is located in the heart of the Crawley town center and is home to over 90 shops. There is also a food court so hungry shoppers can grab a bite to eat and resume their fun.
