English courses in South Bend

South Bend is a city in Indiana most widely known as the home to the college Notre Dame. The area was first settled by fur traders in the early 18th century and the city’s original name was Southold. In 1835 the town was officially established and in 1865 it was incorporated as a city. Students enrolled in English school in South Bend might be interested to hear that the Studebaker Company got its start in South Bend as a wagon shop. The Singer Sewing Company was among other companies which contributed to the local economy in its earlier years.
