Zurich is Switzerland's largest city and is located on Lake Zurich in Northern Swizerland. It is also the country's financial center and is the location of the Swiss Stock Exchange as well as many large domestic and international companies. Students interested in studying German courses in Zurich will be greeted upon their arrival by a friendly city with one of the best public transit systems in Europe. Students staying at a German school in Zurich will find plenty to do, and many sights to see, including the Romanesque church of Grossmünster, the Lake Promenade, or the student filled Niederdorf region. Perhaps after a long evening, students might enjoy heading to the unique local Coffee Museum to wake themselves up. During the winter months, one of the most popular activities in skiing in the nearby resorts by purchasing a "snow'n'rail" ticket which allows you to take the train to the local mountains and return home all in one day. No matter what you decide to do in Zurich, you will certainly have an excellent time while practicing your language skills with your new international friends.
