Rio de Janeiro, more commonly called by its shortened name, Rio is the most visited city in the southern hemisphere. It is the second largest city in Brazil, and is known throughout the world for its white sand beaches and deep blue seas, not to mention Carnival. Students who enroll in Portuguese school in Rio de Janeiro will have an abundance of things to do and see while in Brazil. Visitors should take the time to travel through Tijuca National Park. This 8000 acre rainforest is home to Rio de Janeiro’s most famous landmark, the Christ the Redeemer statue, standing 30 meters tall. For another great excursion, take a glass paneled cable car ride up Sugar Loaf mountain and enjoy the views. When students have a break from Portuguese courses in Rio de Janeiro they might look forward to some physical activities like surfing, hiking, rock climbing or hang gliding. Maracana Soccer Stadium, the largest soccer stadium in the world, offers an interesting perspective on the game of soccer for those lucky enough to watch a game live with Brazil’s passionate fans. The school has developed 5 levels – Golden Skills – For Your First Days in Brazil, Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Fluent – each with personalised classes, focused on personal or professional life, covering different areas such as: art; tourism; journalism petroleum and gas: social enterprises; and literature, amongst others.

This course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication skills.
The Semi-Intensive course is for those who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay but also have some free time to enjoy the city's main attractions. The courses focus on speaking and communication skills.
The Portuguese language courses are designed to develop the students' ability to understand and use both spoken and written Portuguese, so as to allow for communication. Our courses are targeted at people of different nationalities who are interested in learning Portuguese.
The Intensive course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication skills: the morning consists of 4 lessons in communication skills, while the afternoon consists of 2 lessons in special topics.
The Portuguese language courses are designed to develop the students' ability to understand and use both spoken and written Portuguese, so as to allow for communication. Our courses are targeted at people of different nationalities who are interested in learning Portuguese.
The Intensive course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication skills: the morning consists of 4 lessons in communication skills, while the afternoon consists of 2 lessons in special topics.
The semi-intensive program was developed for those who need to reconcile the study of Portuguese with other activities such as work, university, sports, among others. Thus, the semi-intensive program requires less time for the student, with classes only 3 times a week, the duration of the classes is 2:30 hours.
A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn.
You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.
