Academia Tica Jacó Beach teaches students from all over the world, including:
Jacó Beach is the surf mecca of Costa Rica. Nearby beaches like Playa Hermosa and Esterillos have hosted international surf contests like the World Surfing Games in 2009. Jacó offers waves for beginners and advanced surfers too!
As one of the most important coastal towns in the country, Jacó offers exciting activities and gastronomic options. Activities range from zip-lining tours or a canopy tram to visits to important National Parks like Carara or Manuel Antonio.
Academia Tica Jacó has a nice pool to chill on hot days. You can also rent a bike to go around town and book surf lessons. Tuition quality is the same for both our schools (check our Coronado campus), this means that you can enjoy both locations for everything they have to offer!
We found our time at the school to be very worth-while. Our instructors were very patient with us as we were total beginners of Spanish. The school itself is a very nice facility and our classes were held outside in a beautiful setting in Jaco. Jaco is a beach town and is a busy place with tourists. There are several nice restaurants in town along with small locally-owned shops. We met many nice folks while we were there and there students from all over the world, both younger and older. We even had an activity where we learned to make plantanos, that was a lot of fun. Our outings were enjoyable as well including a tour of a crocodile refuge and a trip to a beautiful beach hosted by Dannia, our Admissions Coordinator, highlighted by trying various delicious native fruits.

¡Hola!
We do have fans at the student apartments but not air conditioning.
We don't have a big problem with her arriving on Monday, but the student has to know that each group has a weekly plan and that she is joining in when the group has already started. We will try our best to fill her in on what happened before, but it is of course best to arrive early.
