Our every course, be it language or culturally-orientated, involves organized activities exploring the Sardinian way of life including first hand investigations of local customs, traditions, food and wines. We also actively explore the most current and interesting themes in Sardinia's science, arts and cultural expressions. Our school is guided by a warm and welcoming staff that is qualified in educational instruction and keenly sensitive to student needs. Our teachers are distinguished college graduates selected for their teaching ability as well as their enthusiasm, motivation and warm, engaging personalities.
In addition to our intensive group language and culture courses, Pintadera offers a series of special courses, amongst which is our most popular weekly crash course for tourists: AllegraMente. This typically late afternoon course is designed to give our visitors an enticing taste of the Italian language and way of life. It constitutes a proven and celebrated intelligent enhancement to the joys of an Alghero holiday.
Everyone is welcome. And everyone, young to not-so-chronologically young, has applauded this program.
We, at Pintadera, endeavor to make the learning experience as inspiring as Alghero itself. Our teachers are energetic university graduates, chosen for their teaching ability as well as their engaging personality. From the start, we take classes out of the four-walled classroom and onto to the vibrant streets of Alghero. We target all five senses during lessons - not only do you listen to and speak Italian, but you eat, drink, smell, breathe and, as experience suggests, gradually absorb and become, in deepening measures, Alghero, Italian and Italy itself. Many surprised and grateful Italian students have remarked during and immediately after the Pintadera experience that they’ve enjoyed brief but unforgettable dreams set in Alghero and spoken in Italian.
Pintadera offers a full range of Italian language and culture courses tailored to your interests and abilities. We remain eager to discuss our rich menu of learning possibilities with you either prior to your deliberated course selection or your course commencement in Alghero...or how about, right now? Please, feel free to write us today with any questions and thoughts.

Pintadera is a small Italian language school located in a quiet and picturesque alley of the old town of Alghero in Sardinia. The school is run by two women, one from Alghero and the other, a native of Berlin with a diverse international background.
Welcoming and relaxing, Pintadera offers the perfect atmosphere for learning the Italian language and gaining a unique insight into Sardinian culture. We take language out of the classroom and onto the streets of Alghero. All five senses are activated during the learning process – not only do you listen and speak, but you eat, sleep and breathe Sardinia.
In September 2018 I went to Pintadera for a second language course after I did a 2 week course in October 2017. This time I stayed for 6 weeks. It felt like going back to my Italian family. Everyone was very welcoming, every teacher remembered me from my last stay. It felt like I had never left. Every evening, there is something to do if you want to and even if it is only to go for an aperitif in the evening with the other students. There are always afternoon activities to choose from. For these, you have to pay extra but prices a very reasonable. I made some very dear friends and I'm still in contact with them and sometimes we meet up in Alghero again if we all find the time. Many of the students returning to the school, so the atmosphere is very family like.
The teachers are great and make things easy to understand. Classes are small and you always have to talk but you never feel pressured. The school is situated in the middle of the old town of Alghero where you find lots of little bars and restaurants. The beach is only a few minutes away by food. There are also a lot of hiking trails nearby - there is something for everyone.
Highly recommended.
Thank you Didi ! Hope to see you again soon at Pintadera for more italiano lessons!
