Learn more, discover more and level up at the Hawaii Palm English School.
Since 2007, we welcome students of all ages, levels and nationalities to the Hawaiian English School, where we offer a variety of English programs to help you achieve your personal goals. With no more than 9 students per class, we boast the smallest student-teacher ratio in Hawaii. This allows students to receive more personal attention from our dedicated teachers.
Outside of school hours, students continue their learning by participating in any of our weekly activities or by going home to practice English with their local host family. Regardless of your length of stay, Hawaii Palm English Language School has a program to help you study, have fun, and live in beautiful Hawaii.
The nationality and age mix at Hawaii Palms English School varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 35. In the summer, the average age is 23.

Our English Intensive Course is an integrated ESL course that combines Conversation, Grammar, Listening, Pronunciation, Reading, and Writing. It consists of 4 hours of instruction a day, from Monday through Thursday, for a total of 16 hours a week. Classes are typically held from 9:00 am to 12:50 pm, but may also be held from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm depending on student enrollment.
Students are placed in one of 6 English levels – each level taking 12 weeks to complete – after an oral and/or written placement test conducted prior to the start of their course. Students must register for a minimum of one week and may start their course on any Monday.
Intensive classes are taught by the same teacher every day, which allows them to get to know their students well and help them with their individual language needs. Students in this course must be at least 16 years of age.
Unfortunately, I have not had any experience because Covid 19 , no travel was possible..Maybe next year.

These homes are often between 30 - 65 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. You must check out 1 day after your classes end (usually a Saturday). We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. The school is also not authorized to issue an I-20 to support an F-1 student visa application. If you need a visa, you have to apply for a Visitor Visa (B1/B2) on your own.
Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Honolulu based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
