Where else should you learn Italian than in the city that gave birth to fine arts - and where
eating typical Tuscan dishes and local sourced produce in Trattorie is as good as it gets? We highly
recommend you opt for InFlorence Academy, the first language school established in Florence, located in a
16th Century building that strongly evokes the Renaissance period.
The school is surrounded by world famous sights, the cosiest of cafés and most intriguing of markets.
Crossing the Ponte Vecchio to get your daily dose of Italian gelato and espresso will be just one of the many
things you will do while experiencing Florence’s artistic ambience.
The nationality and age mix at InFlorence Academy varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 24. In the summer, the average age is 22.
does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
InFlorence Academy is located in the centre of the oldest part of Florence, in the beautiful square
of Piazza S. Spirito surrounded by typical trattorias, cafes and traditional artisans’ workshops.
InFlorence Academy is fortunate to be full of wonderful people. Start at the secretariat with Anna and Barbara who are very helpful and available to help at any time.
Then we have Sara, the coordinator, who in addition to knowing how to choose the best initial level / class, makes us feel free to have an open dialogue on any subject (without saying that she is also a very competent teacher).
In the end, the teachers: how good they are. I had a lesson with everyone, but I have to thank especially Constance and Ilaria who taught me a new language in 6 months! They were always available to do their best, with cheerfulness, good humor and expertise.
I have been in contact with colleagues from all over the world so I have also learned a little bit about other cultures. An invaluable experience.
I have only 2 complaints to make regarding the physical structure of the school. The bathrooms were left with broken cards for as long as I was there. A simple thing to solve but that did not have the necessary attention.
The second is that when autumn came and the temperatures became lower, the heating did not work. Only they settled after 3 or 4 weeks of cold.
At the time, we made a complaint to the director Alessandro who seemed to not pay much attention. The person who perhaps should be the most attentive to students' requests ... pity.
Apart from this, I am very satisfied! Thank you all, from the heart! :)
