Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous all over the world for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th century an established town – although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years.
Nowadays, Oxford is an exciting but small city, with a population of just over 150,000.
Oxford is the perfect place to be a student, not only because of its rich academic history but also because the tradition of learning and academia is still an important part of Oxford’s culture. About 32,000 students are enrolled in its two universities – Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University.
The classes were not stresssful at all! I was having so much fun in the activities and in the classes while learning. I wished I could stay for a little longer. And at the same time I was learning some new words.
The teachers were very nice, kind and were really helpful, always trying to help as much people as they could. The staff people were really nice and kind, always trying look out for us. I didn't really mind the location, although I had to walk a litle bit from school to my dorm but it was nothing much. Summarizing it was fine. The activities were fun. Well, there were like one or two that weren't so interesting but we can't like everything. The building was very pretty and gigantic (it looked like a castle), the dorm had a good size. In the beginning I wished there was there someone to help us on scheduling our day, the time that we nedeed to be ready and when was time to sleep. We could all known the time to fall asslep and to speak low/softly. Maybe we would had sleeped a little better on the first days. (Since I was an Independent Student, went through that because I had no direct responsible to talk to).

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from Oxford Spires. Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Oxford based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
