Pamplona is located in the northeast of Spain, and is the capital of the Navarra region. Pamplona is most famous for its San Fermin festival, although the rest of the world knows it as the "Running of the Bulls". Held each year from July 6th to July 14th, Sanfermines features a daily bullrun or "Encierro". But don't be mistaken, Pamplona is a city far more interesting than just a week long festival; it has ancient Roman mosaics, the Pamplona Cathedral, the lovely Plaza del Castillo, great wine tours, and many parks and green areas. Pamplona is also one of the most environmentally responsible cities in Spain! Students who are interested in studying Spanish courses in Pamplona will enjoy that there are three universities in Pamplona, and the city definitely knows how to cater to the student population! You can practice your speaking skills from a Spanish school in Pamplona with other students over a glass of the city's famous Sangria, a punch made with fruit and wine. Just be careful, Sangria can vary drastically in strength at each bar and restaurant so make sure you know what you are getting yourself into!
