Our English & Culture (40+) course combines 20 cultural lessons with like-minded mature students that want to develop their English and explore British culture. Both lessons and the activities will be with other 40+ course students.

Programmes for Seniors English Language and British Culture The programmes are intended for mature students aged forty plus. They are offered at all levels from elementary to advanced.

This course is intended for mature students and includes English lessons in the morning and visiting places of cultural and historic interest in the afternoons. There are excursions to Sudeley Castle and Gardens, Bibury and Bourton, Painswick Rococo Gardens, Croome Park and House, Cirencester Cathedral, Bath and more.

This course is perfect for more mature students who wish to experience all of the fascinating and beautiful things that Cornwall has to offer, combining visits to interesting and beautiful places around our amazing county with relevant English classes. We take students to art galleries in St Ives, The Eden Project, Minack Theatre, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Barbara Hepworth museum, Lanhydrock House, stunning coastal walks, unique restaurants and traditional pubs.

Our Art and Culture course combines our General English course with touring the cultural highlights of Cornwall. Expect to visit hidden beaches, art galleries, old English estates and gardens, restaurants, and Rosamunde Pilcher’s Cornwall.
