More about studying in Queenstown »
Queenstown is located on the South Island of New Zealand and is a scenic resort town that is open all four seasons of the year. While summers are hot enough to enjoy the waters of Lake Wakatipu, winter is a great time for snow sports on the covered mountains of the Remarkables Range. Skiers and snowboarders come from all over the world to join the festivities at the annual Winter Festival. Most adventurers will find that taking English courses in Queenstown and being in an English school in Queenstown is a great way to perfect your English skills and enjoy the great outdoors. For the very brave visitor, Queenstown is also home of the first commercial bungy jumping location off the Kawarau Bridge, and the sport is very popular in the area. Others will be interested in just spending time exploring the gorgeous lakes and mountains around the area-- most of the attractions in Queenstown are focused around these views, which seem more beautiful and vibrant each time you look at them. Perhaps one of the most exciting ways to view the area is on a Jetboating tour, which travel over shallow waters at very high speeds and give passengers a beautiful (and wild) ride through the surrounding areas.

How long should I study?
The minimum duration for a language course is usually two weeks, but students benefit the most starting from the 3rd and 4th weeks of their language course, after they get used to the new environment. By this time, the early distractions are over and the student has "settled in". The average student takes about 12 weeks of language studies abroad.
