IS Aix-en-Provence is an international language Institute specialized in teaching French as a foreign language for more than 40 years and registered by the local authorities as a "Private Establishment of Higher Learning". Located in the heart of Provence, the Institute is attended by students from all five continents. IS Aix-en-Provence is a non-profit making organization certified since 2007 with the national “French Foreign Language Quality” label, obtaining 3 stars (highest ranking) on each of the 5 criteria audited (Reception & Services, Premises & Equipment, Teaching staff, Courses, Management). We are also a member of the EAQUALS and IALC networks. We have just moved to new, freshly renovated premises where we are happy to welcome students with reduced mobility; including students in wheelchairs. The building, which is surrounded by the biggest park in the city is only a 10-minute walk from the town centre. We offer 14 luminous and air-conditioned classrooms; one classroom with several computers (access to magazines/books/DVD); 2 terraces, machines delivering tea & coffee drinks and sweet things; Free Wi-Fi. Our team is friendly and enthusiastic with solid experience, wishing to assure you to have an enjoyable stay that meets your expectations. The teaching team is made up of a studies Director, 12 permanent teachers and about 10 temporary teachers who all have diplomas in French as a Foreign Language (4 years of studies at university after the “baccalauréat”) and sound experience in teaching French. The 7 members of the administrative team look after students from enrolment until the end of their stay: the organization and quality of their studies, accommodation, activities, practical and tourist information, etc.
