Tours is the capital city of Indre-et-Loire, and is located in central France. The region around Tours, known as Touraine is known for its excellence in two things: wine production, and French pronunciation. Therefore, a student taking French courses in Tours will not come home with near perfect French pronunciation, by might also get an education in wine along the way as well. The city of Tours, also has many fascinating places to explore as well, like the Tours Cathedral and the banks of the Loire River. Along with great views and places to explore, Tours is a great stop for shopping and dining as well: with several shopping destinations and cuisines from around the world (including plenty of Kabob stands along the way) travelers can wear themselves out walking, and then fill themselves up eating throughout the day! An intensive program to improve faster – in addition to the standard course, you will attend phonetics lessons and course units that will take into account your objectives and your difficulties, to design a track that fits your needs and interests (French culture, volunteering, French for specific purpose, etc.).
